hi there.
Yoga gets me stoked to be human.
I was first introduced to yoga by my father, he brought me to a yoga retreat with Mark Whitwell in New York when I was eleven. Back then I had no clue what that little taste and time on the mat would do for me. The New York retreat sparked a fire within me and has been a guiding light since.
Yoga has been a tool for me to see things and deal with life in a happy light. I have learned to honor, respect and acknowledge the hard times, and be able to find laugher and gratitude. Yoga will always be shifting and changing for me which is the key for me to stay present and open minded. Every time I get on the mat and breath and connect to my body there is a feeling of light heartedness that always shows up. There may be some irritation or other “unpleasant” feelings present as well :) but in the end when I step off the mat I am happy to be right where I am at right now. I see yoga as my helping hand in my life to stay clear and enjoy every aspect of it.
I completed my first 200 hour training in February of 2015 and have since then added another 200 hour training through the Baptiste Institute in January 2017.
My classes are about discovery and freedom. I love to make practice playful and relaxed. I teach with the intention of creating a space to get into your breath and body and allowing you to be present; what happens from there is your discovery of your yoga.
My mantra is to live with a light heart. I want to hang with my dog, surf, read novels, travel the world, play music, drive cool trucks and laugh a lot. Yoga has lightened my life and I want to share it with you in hopes it does the same for you.
